Custom Made Prison & Detention Equipment and Bar Grilles
PSI carries a complete line of detention jail equipment and prison equipment to outfit any law enforcement facility, whether for new construction or for building upgrades. However, if you do not find exactly what you are looking for, PSI will accommodate with custom made prison and detention equipment not found on this website. We can make adjustments to our existing prison furniture such as tables stools and desks so that they better suit your needs. Woven rod doors and partitions are the kinds of jail doors PSI creates for individual law enforcement sites. Tubular-shaped frames are built of 12-gauge steel channel, and notched every two inches to receive woven rods. The cap channel has a 2 ¾”, 12-gauge steel plate and a stitch weld at 9” on center. The mesh is 3/8” in diameter, with a mild steel rod, woven at 2” on center each way, and double-crimped. Welds are placed on every other rod, where they intersect the channel frame. The frame is mounted into a 10-gauge formed steel channel expansion, anchored to the wall, and field welded to the mount channel. Woven rod jail doors and partitions are chemically degreased and coated with a rust-inhibitive primer. Additional custom options for this detention and prison equipment include a 10-gauge steel frame, ¼” woven wire at 2” on center each way, and frames or wires made of stainless steel.
Bar Grilles
PSI also makes bar grille jail doors and partitions, and access doors as standard prison and detention equipment, to secure any opening. The double-ribbed, mild steel jail bars measure 7/8” in diameter at 5” on center. Crossbars are flat, made from mild steel, and measure 3/8” by 2 ¼” at 18” on center, with punched holes for ribbed bars at 5” on center. The bar grille jail doors and partitions are finished with a chemical degreaser and one coat of a rust-inhibitive primer. Additional options include jail bar spacing at 4” on center, and flat bar spacing at 12” on center.

DESCRIPTION: WOVEN ROD DOORS & PARTITIONS
- Frame: Tubular shaped frame to be built up of a 12 ga. steel channel, 1 3/4" wide x 3" high, notched every 2 1/4" to receive woven rod. Cap channel with a 2 3/4" x 12 ga steel plate, & stitch weld @ 9" oc.
- Mesh: 1/4" dia., mild steel rod, woven @ 2 1/4" o.c. each way, double crimped, weld ever other rod where it intersects the channel frame.
- Mounting: Mount frame into a 10 ga. formed steel channel, expansion anchored to the wall, & field welded to the mount channel.
- Finish: Chemically degreased & coated with rust inhibitive primer

BAR GRILLE
DESCRIPTION: BAR GRILLE DOORS & PARTITIONS
- Bars: 7/8" dia. double ribbed jail bar, @ 5" o.c., 1065m material.
- Cross bars: 3/8" x 2 1/4" mild steel flat bar @ 18" o.c., w/ punched holes for ribbed bars @ 5" o.c..
- Assembly: Notch each side of the ribbed bar at cross bars & pass the ribbed bars through the cross bars & rotate 90 degrees to lock the bars together.
- Anchorage: Anchor to walls with a 3" x 2" x 3/16" angle bolted to wall, & field weld.
- Finish: Chemically degrease & 1 coat of rust inhibitive primer.
