Stainless Steel Pedestal Tables
The 4-man pedestal table has a 10-gauge steel table top, with 3” flanges on each side and ¼” steel gussets welded to the underside. The four seats of 14-gauge steel are each 12” in diameter and 1 ½” in depth. Bracing the undersides are 8” by 8” by 7-gauge steel reinforcing plates. The pedestal table’s base is a 3” by 3” by 1/8” steel tube seat, which is welded to the center post. That steel center post is 4” by 4” by 3/16”, with a steel base floor plate that measures 18” by 18” by 3/8”. PSI’s 4-man stainless steel pedestal table is finished with a chemical degreaser and one coat of a universal rust-inhibitive primer. Field welding is required; the pedestal table is shipped knocked down.
Pedestal table options include a 12-gauge stainless steel top with a #4 finish. PSI can also manufacture a pedestal table with a removable seat for handicap access. Similar designs seat six or eight. Call PSI for these specifications.
Stainless Steel Bench Table
A different prison furniture design is the bench table. PSI has an 8-man bench table, with a table top measuring 24” by 96”. The top is made from 10-gauge steel with a 2” flange on each side. Bench seats on this stainless steel table are 10-gauge formed steel channels, with 2” by 2” angle reinforcement at the underside. Each bench measures 12” by 96”.
PSI bench tables include 7-gauge steel horizontal braces welded to the seat tops, each 6” by 50”. The vertical braces are 12” by 30” 7-gauge channels, with 2” by 3/8” base plates field welded to the table top and the seat base. All joints are welded and ground smooth. This stainless steel table is attached to the floor with an 18” by 18” by 3/8” steel base plate. Chemical degreaser and rust-inhibitive primer finish the bench table. Options for PSI bench tables include a 12-gauge stainless steel table top with a #4 finish.
PSI manufactures additional prison furniture, including various desks. The institutional cell desk has a top of 10-gauge formed steel. It measures 30” wide and 15” deep, with a 1 ½” flange formed up in the back and down in the front. The cell desk’s 10-gauge steel sides are 15” deep and 30” high, with 1 ½” flanges formed on the front and back. Two 10-gauge steel shelves finish the cell desk; each measures 10” deep by 10” high by 10” wide. The cell desk seat is 14-gauge steel, 12” in diameter, and 1 ½” deep. A 7-gauge steel plate is welded to the underside. PSI’s institutional cell desk also includes swing brackets: two 2” by 2” steel swivel blocks with iolite bushings, welded to a 2” by 2” steel reinforcing tube. The steel swivel pin is ¾” in diameter, set from each end with the swivel blocks. The swing arm has a 3/8” steel plate, welded to the pivot pin and the seat reinforcing plate. Finish on the cell desk is a chemical degreaser and one coat of rust-inhibitive primer. Cell desk options include a 12-gauge stainless steel top with a #4 finish, and a 12” long steel towel bar.
